Keeping and care of the British Shorthair Cat

For businessmen cats of the British breed is the most reasonable choice! They are easy to keep and take care, not persuasive, have a strong health and endurance. They like children very much, have normal psychic, are friendly and well-mannered. There are practically no problems with them.

To take care of British is easy and not tiresome: it is enough to comb them once a week. To pay daily attention is necessary only when your animal sheds hair

They shed approximately once a year. To speed up the process of hair renewal you can carefully pull out or wash an animal except combing them.

About bathing: British are very clean animals, they perfectly lick themselves. Bathing is necessary, if the animal is dirty by some unvarnished substance.

Claws: cutting claws will rescue your furniture from damages. You should cut claws carefully, for the first time you’d better ask the veterinary to show you how to do it. It is necessary to buy a special object to grind the claws; it will satisfy the need of a cat for grinding claws.

Ears: should be always clean, without a smell and wax secretion. The auricle should be cleaned by a damp wadded tampon.

Well-groomed British cat looks superb; the fur plays and shines!
