About British Shorthair Cat
British short-haired is the endurance and soft aristocratic character. In other words-all features typical of English people. British are sociable and communicative, preserve dignity in contact with a person, full of self- importance and do not stand familiarity.
The British – a symbol of calmness, prosperity and home comfort. They are gentle kind creatures with a silent voice, no need to pay constant attention to them. Among other breeds they do not make impression of hearty travelers, and will not suffer if remained indoors on a warm and soft sofa as well. If you let them out into a garden, they will not go far.
British are massive, strong, thickset and brawny. Males are huger than females, and it is more obvious than in other breeds. British do not develop at once; it takes them 2-3 years to type get weight. Males achieve their real size by 3 years and finish development by 6 years. Females are usually finally formed after having kittens for the second time.
The British cats can be of different colors; however the most popular, perhaps, classical blue color.
